Step back, Aries
coming through! This is pure self-interest in action. “I want what
I want and I want it NOW!” Don’t misunderstand. The self-confidence
and spontaneous move to action is charming and others find you fun to
be with. It is just that if you ask a friend to go fishing or shopping
or whatever and they do not immediately grab their hat or purse and follow
you out the door, they will discover that their Aries friend is already
in the car with the motor running.
This aggressive,
“me first” attitude can cause raised eyebrows if you are a girl
Aries. People expect girls to be more passive and boys to be more assertive.
These stereotypes are fading, however it is still more acceptable in our
culture for males to express these dominate characteristics. One of the
reasons for this fresh, naïve, fearless view of life is that Aries is
the first sign, (the baby of the zodiac). Just remember how a precious
little baby can take over your life. This helps explain how they can demand,
shout, stomp out of the room only to come back in a few minutes, smiling
and happy. They simply do not understand why you insist on holding a grudge.
Reinventing the world every five minutes equips them to put forth great
new ideas and promote them with enthusiasm. Selling is easy because they
do not hear, “NO”. They do not accept defeat. Any activity that
requires immediate action, originality, and self-confidence will benefit
from your Aries spirit. It
is important to recognize that these traits describe the first principle
of the zodiac, not necessarily the way in which you express Aries.
Being born when the
Sun was traveling through Aries is only one part of your true self. The

know people who match my description of Aries but were born in another

You can have fun
recognizing Aries traits without knowing the birthday. The principle of
Aries is present to some degree in all of us. You are lucky if you are
able to express this self-promoting trait. Many people have to work hard
to learn how to put themselves first when it is appropriate.
Aries is associated
with the planet Mars. In astrological language, we say Aries is “ruled”
