Timing is Everything!

We learn early that life goes more smoothly if we pick the right time to ask a question or promote an idea. For example: You don’t ask Mom is you can buy those cool shoes you saw in the mall when she has just been having a “discussion” with Dad about the budget. You came to understand the many moods of your parents and recognize when the ‘weather’ was fair and when it was stormy. That sixth sense is still helping you to choose the right time to act. I would like to offer another aid to good decisions.

Astrology is a great tool for refining your “weather report”.  All kinds of weather reporting consider cycles or patterns that repeat.  A simple cycle that is easy to see is the day/night 24-hour cycle. The Moon cycle takes about 28 1/2 days to go from New Moon, first Quarter, Full Moon, last Quarter, back to New Moon. The seasons of spring, summer, fall, and winter mark the Earth’s relationship to the Sun and complete the cycle in about 365 days or one year.

Planetary Cycles Are a Part of the Climate or Weather Report

The planets that are a part of our Solar or Star system move through the heavens in an orderly pattern or cycle. Each one has a different time cycle. When an Astrologer looks at the location of the planets at the time of your birth, she/he is looking at a map of the place where you entered the complex pattern of cycles. It is the measurement of the relationship of the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto to the place on the planet (your home town) where you landed that describes who you are.

The planets continue to move ahead after your birth. It is the relationship of there present location to your birth pattern that creates the “planetary weather”. It takes years to learn how to interpret the possible meaning of this kaleidoscope of shifting patterns. Computers have helped a lot. We can track the movement of each planet with great accuracy and create reports that give clues to “sunny days” and “cloudy days” for making life decisions.

Examples of the way it works:

A computer report linking present day planets (Transiting) to birth planets acts as guide. It is up to you and your Astrologer to discuss how the present pattern fits into what has gone before.

Saturn Shows How You Build a Solid Foundation (7/28 year cycle)

Turning points often come in seven-year increments. Look back over your own life and think about how the ages of 7, 14, 21, and 28 seemed to bring events and insights that helped you to mature into a functioning adult. Some times it is with a soft landing and at other points it was a jarring fall from lack of understanding of what the society demanded of you. You became bruised but wiser. As this cycle repeats throughout your life it helps to have a guide to point out bumps in the road or a straightaway ahead.

Eclipses Provide Another Guide to Change

The Sun and Moon provide guideposts from Eclipse patterns. The times when the Sun and Moon are aligned to form an Eclipse of the Sun (Sun and Moon together) or of the Full Moon Eclipse (Sun opposite the Moon) often mark a time of change. It can range from a change of attitude to a job change or the beginning or ending of a relationship. These powerful patterns have been charted for centuries. Kingdoms and their rulers have risen to power or fallen as they came into in alignment with an Eclipse. To become aware of the times when an Eclipse will connect with your planets allows you to make better choices.

Uranus is the “Unpredictable”: Marks Sudden and Unexpected Changes

Uranus is the planet that shows how you handle change. It covers an 84-year period. It is often felt most strongly at ages 21 years, 42 years and 63/65. Even though these changes are sometimes uncomfortable, we can look back and see that change was needed. Saturn establishes patterns and Uranus breaks them up when they become too rigid for further growth.

Jupiter is the Principle of Growth and Expansion.

It is often called the planet of Luck. The Luck comes if you have prepared for the opportunities that may be presented at the time of a favorable Jupiter pattern in you chart. It is a 12 year cycle and has several hot spots: When Jupiter comes back to the place it occupied at your birth, when it connects with your Sun, and when it connects with your Ascendant or Rising sign.

I am always ready to explain how you can use an “Astrological Weather Report” in making better decisions. If you would like to learn when your planet of Luck and Opportunity connects with your personal chart, just ask when we discuss your Astrology Report.

Blessings,
Louise
